ECO4 Boiler Grant

ECO4 Scheme

The ECO4 grant scheme, supported by the UK government, was initiated in August 2022 and will be available until 31st March 2026. Its primary goal is to enhance home energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions, enabling individuals and families to improve their home’s heat retention. This leads to a decrease in the need for electricity and gas to maintain warm internal spaces.

At Eco Friendly, we offer services related to ECO4 grants to help make your home more energy-efficient. Through this scheme, you can benefit from heating improvements and better insulation for your property at no cost. Additionally, by using less energy to heat your home, you will be contributing to the reduction of carbon emissions.

ECO4 Scheme

ECO is the acronym for Energy Company Obligation, which has four parts. This policy is aimed at making houses warmer and lowering household emissions by making large energy companies accountable to support low-income households. This scheme is also a part of primary legislation whose core objective is to alleviate fuel poverty by adopting a comprehensive approach which emphasises to upgrade the heating systems.

ECO3 & ECO4

The ECO3 scheme, which ran from 2018 to 2022, was designed to offer grant benefits to low-income households. Its main objective was to transform the least energy-efficient homes into safe and warm living spaces to mitigate fuel poverty.

This initiative has now been succeeded by ECO4, which provides a broader funding scope for vulnerable households to enhance their home’s energy efficiency and heating. Additionally, the eligibility assessment process for this grant has been streamlined to one week, compared to the four-week process under the ECO3 scheme. Since 2013, adhering to its minimum energy efficiency standards, this scheme has positively impacted nearly 2.3 million homes.
